You argue a strawman (genetically engineered virus), ignoring the most likely cause: a lab leak from gain of function experiments. You assert without evidence that no WIV scientists had the disease. You ignore that fact that the wet market has been shown to not be a source. You ignore the multiple cover-ups by China's regime - the long delay in alowing in a WHO team, the denial of access to critical individuals, the denial of access to the WIV laboratory logs, the hiding of the fact that three WIV scientists were hospitalized for COVID-like symptoms weeks before the first known wild case. You ignore the destruction of evidence at the wet market.

You fail to mention that two of the three SARS outbreaks were due to lab accidents - in China.

And, you try to whitewash the fact that, inspite of a very intensive search for an intermediate host, the Chines goverrnment, which had every incentive to find it, failed to do so.

You fail to mention that the gain-of-function experiments were done at biosafety level 2 (BSL2) when they should have been at BSL3 or even BSL4.

We don't know that the virus was a lab leak. But we do know the lab engaged in gain of function experiments. And we know that evidence that could exonerate or indict the lab leak theory has been destroyed or covered up by the regime.
