The "not a Democracy" is shorthand for not a direct democracy. You are hit picking. Republicans are far more interested in maintaining our representative democratic Republic in its current form than Democrats, who seek pure majority rule.
As to "Republicans are losing" - nonsense - polls show just the opposite. Republicans have been gaining dramatically in most states. To the consternation of the race-using Democrats, ethnic groups, including African Americans, Hispanics and Asians are increasing their percentages of Republicans.
Wait until after this year's election, and then come back and tell us how Republicans are losing. 2020 was an exceptional election - during a pandemic, with changes in voting procedures that favored Democrats, and with the head of the Republican Party (Trump) making impolitic statements.
Republicans will win big this year, as long as Trump doesn't interfere too much. Many Republicans, myself including, want Trumpism without Trump.
