Thanks for the really good article. As a pilot, an engineer (looking at the INMARSAT data), and someone long involved in searching for missing aircraft in the US, I followed this in depth for some time. The article does an excellent job of describing what was known and how it was known.

I concluded that it had to be an action by one of the two pilots, as did most others who looked at it in detail — many in far more detail than I did.

I hope the aircraft is found, both for the families, and for the aviation community. But, in the absence of more data, by far the most likely explanation is the one given by the author.
