Tesla was a brilliant inventor and genius, but some of these claims are overblown.

Tesla didn't invent radio.

He didn't invent transmitting power long distances through the air, because that is impractical and nobody does it to this day. Tesla apparently didn't study Maxwell's equations or he would have figured that out. Instead, he wasted a lot of time tinkering with ways to transmit power - ways that never worked.

His most important accomplishment was three phase electricity and its applications - his polyphase motor. That was a critical inention.

But... as is true with many significant inventions, if Tesla hadn't invented things, others would have - perhaps a few years later.

Someone here trashed Elon Musk. Musk is a brilliant inventor too - but Musk started as a physicist, so he only works on the possible.
