Inequality will always be with us. And, what is wrong with inequality? Has anyone read Harrison Bergeron? 60 year old fiction, but people who believe what the author of this piece seems to should read it.
Fascism? Where? Iran, Russia, China? They are fascist. Somehow I fear the author imagines that the US or UK are.
Stagnation. That’s an economic issue. Protesting about it is pretty silly. Often, stagnation is caused by government policies designed to reduce the pain of poverty.
Climate change. It is amazing the amount of panic about a very slowly changing phenomenon. And, it is amazing how people want to beggar the economies of the west (which will inevitably hurt the poor the most, especially the poor in lesser developed countries) when the real increases in emissions are coming from China and Africa.
Sorry — the real problem is that the Internet has accelerated the development of hysterias, especially the hysterias — moral panics — that result when the belief is that evil others are responsible for whatever the hysteric fears.
