I'm glad I'm a Catholic. We have the history.

As for "white Christian" - our priests and our congregants come from all over the world.

But back to "white Christian." It is so tiring to read people who are fretting about whiteness or racism.

"Racism" is the new secular religion, but they had to invent their god because, while racism will never go completely away, it is far, far better than it used to be. The US is less racist than most nations in the world. Americans have the American ideal that we are all created equal, that a person's worth is in their character not their superficial characteristifcs like skin color. That latter sentiment was put so eloquently by Martin Luther King in his "I Have a Dream" speech - one which whites in the US, for the most part, wholeheartedly embraced.

So don't fall for the false lies of the new secular religion of race worry.
