Getting at least one jab after COVID infection is a good idea. You body develops immunity to parts of the virus, but it doesn't always choose the right parts that will still be important with a mutation. The mRNA vaccines are genetically engineered to be less lkely to miss the variants, and they are simpler, so the body is more likely to target the right stuff.
A confirmed case of COVID is, so far, quite good protection, but not as good against some variants as some vaccines are.
