Filling the aerogel with a vacuum takes a lot of energy, and doing it quickly takes a lot of power. You also need a place to store the gas you take out of the aerogel. Nuclear batteries provide very low power, so they wouldn't do the trick. They extract the energy radioactive decay particles.
