China is building coal fired powerplants at a rapid rate. Their massive investments are almost all in goods to sell to the US and other countries.

They know, unlike too many elsewhere, that “renewable” sources, namely wind and solar, cannot provide much electric power, because of their intermittent nature. So China sells those to suckers, while building coal plants for themselves. India is also building a lot of coal plants, because they also understand the problem.

Fossil fuel emissions are likely a problem. But you don’t solve that while ignoring the actions of countries with the largest populations in the world. And is it fair to ask those who are terribly poor to go without reliable (or even any) electricity? That’s what the “renewables” craze causes.

Rich people in the west get to pat themselves on the back about how “responsible” they are, while the poor are harmed. On top of that, the “responsible” actions have little to no effect on the future temperature trajectory.
